Job summary

Willow Green Academy in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire, is seeking a Primary Teacher to join us in September 2026 on a part-time, temporary basis for one day a week. This single-form-entry school prides itself on a welcoming atmosphere and its community ethos, delivering a broad ASPIRE curriculum and outdoor learning opportunities.

The successful candidate will work within a forward-thinking team, supporting pupils to develop communication and independence, while embracing our inclusive values.

Willow Green Academy are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher to join our academy in September 2026 on a part time, temporary basis for one day per week.

Willow Green academy is a single-form-entry school situated in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire. There are approximately 220 pupils on role including 14 part time Nursery pupils. Priding ourselves on our welcoming atmosphere and community ethos we aim to provide our children with rich learning experiences which are designed to develop the whole chid. This is encapsulated in our school motto ‘A childhood of experiences for lifetime of success’.

Through our broad ASPIRE curriculum pupils experience a wide variety of engaging learning opportunities and our extensive grounds provide opportunities for outdoor learning, including forest schools in our very own nature area. Our aim is that our pupils leave us as well-developed, rounded citizens with strong personal and social and communication skills, with a sense of independence, confidence and identity. They will also possess secure skills and knowledge from across the curriculum with a focus on the importance of strong communication, language and oracy.
