Job summary

Oversands School in Cumbria, part of Witherslack Group, is seeking an inspirational teacher to work with children and young people with SEND, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder and SEMH needs. You will deliver high‑quality lessons, support development and self-esteem, and contribute to a nurturing school community.

You will join a supportive team with in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals, ensuring pupils receive consistent guidance and opportunities to thrive.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience
• Qualified Teacher Status required
• Ability to relate the taught subject to each pupil

Responsibilities

• Teach children and young people with SEND (Autistic Spectrum Disorder / SEMH) and raise their self-esteem
• Collaborate with in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals
• Deliver engaging, well‑resourced lessons and support progression within the department
