Year 6 Class Teacher (Full-Time)

Start Date: After February Half Term 2026
Contract: Full-Time Ongoing (Long-Term)

Class Mate is seeking an experienced and passionate Year 6 Teacher to join a warm, supportive primary school in the DE21 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a small Year 6 class and play a key role in preparing pupils for their SATs in a nurturing, well-resourced environment.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for a small Year 6 class, delivering high-quality teaching and learning with a strong focus on progress, confidence-building, and SATs preparation. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team and benefit from excellent support within a friendly and collaborative school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver well-planned, engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 National Curriculum
  • Prepare pupils for end-of-year SATs through targeted teaching and intervention
  • Assess learning effectively and adapt planning to meet pupil needs
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, colleagues, and parents
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school
Requirements
