Job summary

Educato Limited is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Droylsden to recruit a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant. You will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including those with SEND, through 1:1 interventions, small-group activities and classroom learning.

The role requires adaptability to changing classroom environments and a patient, proactive approach. You will work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons, adapt resources for diverse abilities, and help pupils

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting.
• Confidence supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Experience supporting children with SEND, either within mainstream or specialist settings.
• Confidence delivering 1:1 support and working with small groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, working with pupils across all primary year groups.
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional learning needs and SEND.
• Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy and other curriculum-based activities.
• Adapt learning activities and resources to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Support pupils with SEND, including those who may require additional help with communication, learning, social development or emotional regulation.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour, participation and engagement throughout the school day.
• Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and positive relationships with their peers.
• Prepare classroom resources and assist with general classroom organisation.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure all pupils receive the support they need.
