Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant in Redbridge, London to provide one-to-one support for a child with global developmental delay and to deliver targeted English and Maths interventions to Year 4 pupils.

The role requires strong communication, patience and empathy, with a willingness to provide personal care when needed. The position is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP/November 2026, with a salary based on the client's pay policy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs, especially global developmental delay.
• Willingness to provide personal care when required.
• Strong communication, patience and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a child with global developmental delay.
• Deliver targeted English and Maths interventions to Year 4 pupils.
• Support learning, engagement and development in daily sessions.
• Assist with personal care needs in a respectful and dignified manner.
• Work with teaching staff to reinforce learning and progress.
