Contract Type: Various short-term and long-term (term time) assignments available.

Daily Rate: 130 - 161 per day - dependent on experience and qualifications

Tradewind Education are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Primary Supply Teachers to join our pool of talented educators for the new academic year: January 2026. We work with a range of vibrant and inclusive primary schools across Blackpool, Flyde & Wyre who require flexible cover for planned and unplanned absences. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in different school settings, build your professional network, and make a real difference to the learning of young children.

About the Role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to pupils across the primary age range (typically Reception to Year 6). Assignments can vary in length, from single days to longer-term placements, offering you flexibility to suit your availability and preferences. You will be expected to adapt quickly to the school's policies and procedures and ensure a positive and supportive learning environment for the children. For daily cover the work will be planned and provided to you to deliver, longer term contracts will require you to plan and deliver. Pay for the role will vary based on role requirements and your experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons effectively, ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of pupils in different classes.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following the school's behaviour policy.
  • Provide a safe and stimulating learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff regarding pupil progress and any relevant information.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to different school environments and routines.
  • Maintain a professional manner and uphold the school's ethos.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils in accordance with school policies and procedures.
We are looking for teachers who
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have a good understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Are adaptable, flexible, and able to work in different school environments.
  • Are confident in managing classroom behaviour.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Are reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Are passionate about working with children and supporting their learning.
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Experience teaching across different key stages (EYFS, KS1, KS2).
  • Experience working with children with diverse learning needs.
  • A flexible approach to travel within the local area.
