Job summary

Academics is recruiting Primary Supply Teachers in Watford and the surrounding areas to support our growing network of primary schools.

As a Primary Supply Teacher you will work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, choosing the days you are available. Deliver lessons, maintain a positive classroom, manage behaviour, and adapt to different schools with clear handovers when required.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS and be eligible to teach in UK primary schools.
• Experience teaching in a UK primary setting across EYFS/KS1/KS2 is required.
• Strong classroom management and positive behaviour support are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities.
• Create an engaging, positive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour and maintain safeguarding procedures.
• Adapt across different schools, year groups and classrooms.
• Provide clear handovers to permanent teachers when needed.

The Role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, choosing the days you are available to work.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities
• Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Following the school's policies and safeguarding procedures
• Adapting confidently to different schools, year groups and classroom environments
• Providing a clear handover to the permanent class teacher where required

What We're Looking For

To be considered for Primary Supply Teacher opportunities in Watford, you should:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching within a UK primary school
• Be confident working across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
• Be able to commute to schools across Watford and the surrounding area
