Overview

Primary Supply Teacher — Sudbury — £140 - £160 a day

Randstad is looking for a dedicated supply teacher, who believes in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, to work on a day to day basis in various primary schools in and around Sudbury. These local schools are dedicated to delivering high-quality education and support across diverse classroom settings, quickly adapting to meet the unique needs of each student while fostering their growth and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring you arrive punctually at the school you have been booked into
  • Adhering to relevant school policies whilst covering that school
  • Passing on relevant information promptly and effectively within the school
  • Adhering to the set cover work and encouraging pupils to engage and complete said work
  • Providing a calm and productive learning environment for the pupils
  • Dealing with any issues that might arise in a prompt and professional manner
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • Experience with behaviours that are challenging
  • A calm & caring personality
  • A strong and resilient personality and be committed to pupils development
  • Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage One (KS1) & Key Stage Two (KS2) curriculum
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not an option)
