Job summary

Exeter Supply Partnership (ESP) is seeking passionate Primary Supply Teachers to support our partner schools across Devon and Torbay. Whether you are experienced, returning to the classroom, or newly qualified, supply teaching with ESP offers variety, flexibility and the chance to make a real local difference.

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you’ll deliver high quality lessons, maintain a positive learning environment and adapt to Early Years, KS1 or KS2 settings.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification – Qualified Teacher Status (UK).
• Recent or relevant experience in primary settings (references required).
• A positive, flexible approach to different classroom environments.
• An enhanced DBS check (we can support this if needed).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality teaching and create a positive learning environment.
• Support pupils’ progress across Early Years, KS1 or KS2 as needed.
• Cover planned and unplanned staff absences and support short term to longer placements.

Exeter Supply Partnership (ESP) is looking for passionate and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to work across our supportive network of partner schools across Devon and Torbay. Whether you are an experienced teacher, returning to the classroom, or newly qualified, supply teaching with ESP offers variety, flexibility and the chance to make a real difference in local primary settings.

About The Role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you'll deliver high quality teaching and create a positive learning environment that supports pupils’ progress. Assignments will vary depending on your experience and preferences, and may include:

• Early Years, KS1 or KS2 teaching
• Covering planned and unplanned staff absences
• Short term, day to day supply
• Longer-term placements when available

We work closely with our schools to match you with the roles that best suit your skills, experience and preferred age groups/ location.

Our Application & Interview Process

As part of our supportive and thorough recruitment process, we like to meet every applicant in person. Once we’ve reviewed your application, we’ll invite you to either:

• An in-person interview, or
• An online interview, followed by a brief in-person document check

Your interview will include a few formal questions, along with a conversation about your experience, what you’re looking for from supply work, and how we can work together. We will also complete the required safer recruitment checks, including identity, qualifications, right to work, and safeguarding.
