Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Primary SEN Teacher to join a local primary network in Tamworth, covering EYFS to KS2 settings. You will lead inclusive classrooms, tailor the curriculum to EHCP targets, and work with a dedicated team to support children with ASD, GDD, ADHD and speech-language needs.

Role is full-time, long-term (term-time), with daily rates £140–£233. Start date immediate or next term; school hours typically 8:30 am–3:30 pm, with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS required; open to experienced SEN specialists or mainstream teachers transitioning to special education.
• Natural patience and adaptability; understanding progress isn't always linear.
• Strong SEN knowledge with experience with ASD, GDD, or complex speech & language needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding with enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups and structured learning environments within EYFS/KS1/KS2.

• Holistic Progress Tracking: Assess academic, social, and emotional development, celebrating the "small wins" that represent massive breakthroughs for your students.
• Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with the school SENCO, Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, and parents to build a holistic web of support around each child.
