SENCO – Primary School (Harrow) Contract: Maternity Leave Cover – 1 Year. Start Date: ASAP or January 2026. Location: Harrow, London. Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.

Pertemps Education is delighted to be supporting a wonderful and inclusive Primary school in Harrow in their search for an experienced and motivated SENCO to join the team on a one‑year maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in leading SEND provision across the school and ensuring every pupil receives the support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coordinate, and evaluate the school's SEND provision.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to provide high‑quality support for pupils with additional needs.
  • Oversee and update EHCPs, provision maps, and intervention plans in line with statutory requirements.
  • Support staff through training, guidance, and modelling of effective SEND strategies.
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with parents and carers.
  • Contribute to a warm, nurturing school culture that prioritises inclusion, wellbeing, and achievement.
