Job summary

Sing Education Limited in Gravesend is seeking a passionate music graduate to lead singing-led lessons for Nursery to Year 6, using Sing Education resources. You will teach up to five days per week, deliver assemblies, and run choirs and clubs within partner schools.

The role emphasizes strong vocal ability, English language skills and classroom management, with collaboration across Sing Education and school teams and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• University degree in music or related field.
• Strong vocal skills with the confidence to lead lessons and assemblies.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Capability to conduct whole-class music lessons.
• Basic keyboard proficiency for classroom use.
• Understanding of the National Curriculum for music.
• Proficient with ICT and able to use online systems such as G Suite.
• Experience in classroom teaching or one-on-one instruction.
• Previous work with children or young people in a teaching or leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead singing-led whole-class music lessons using Sing Education resources.
• Deliver singing assemblies and run choirs, lunchtime and after-school clubs.
• Teach 1 to 5 days per week across Nursery to Year 6.
• Collaborate effectively with Sing Education and school teams.
• Maintain pupil progress and classroom behaviour.
• Adhere to safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
