Job summary

Hotwells Primary School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant, community-focused school within Amplify Education. The role delivers 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND, under guidance from teaching staff, within a 32.5-hour week during term time.

The post is fixed-term until 31 August 2026, with flexible working options requested in applications. The school emphasises safeguarding and a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with primary-aged children, ideally supporting pupils with SEND.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND, working alongside teaching staff to deliver learning activities.
• Assist teachers in the plan, do, review cycle, including record keeping and resource preparation.
• Help implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies and record incidents on CPOMs.
• Monitor pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to EHCPs and SEND Support Plans.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people at all times.
