Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting Experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistants for UK primary schools starting September 2026. Roles include 1:1 and small-group support, aiding classroom learning and interventions, and assisting with reading, writing and maths. Candidates with SEND experience are particularly welcome. Both full-time and part-time positions across partner schools with safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Experience supporting SEND or SEMH is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist with classroom learning and differentiated activities.
• Support reading, writing and maths.
• Deliver basic interventions under teacher direction.
• Support pupils with SEND where required.
• Maintain positive classroom routines.
• Support behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Supervise pupils during breaks and transitions.
• Help pupils develop confidence and independence.
• Work closely with the class teacher and support team.
