Job summary

Academics is seeking a qualified Primary HLTA to support a range of Retford-based primary schools on a flexible temporary basis. The role involves delivering pre-planned activities, supporting learning across EYFS to KS2, and providing high-quality classroom cover while teachers focus on targeted interventions and pupil progress.

You will work across multiple schools, embracing variety and adapting to different year groups.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or strong HLTA experience.
• Previous experience in a primary school.
• Confidence delivering planned learning and supporting classroom management.
• Good understanding of primary education and pupil development.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Are you a qualified Primary HLTA looking for a new opportunity in Retford?

Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting a Primary HLTA to join our supply team, supporting a variety of primary schools across Retford on a temporary, ongoing basis.

As a Primary HLTA, you will have the opportunity to use your experience across different classrooms and year groups, supporting teachers and pupils with learning, interventions and planned classroom activities. This is a flexible opportunity for a Primary HLTA who enjoys variety and would like to work across Retford schools.

Position: Primary HLTA

Location: Retford, Nottinghamshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: 100 - 140 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

The Primary HLTA will provide valuable classroom support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, working alongside teachers to help pupils engage with their learning and achieve their potential.

A Primary HLTA working in Retford may be asked to deliver pre-planned lessons, support intervention groups, assist with whole-class activities or provide classroom cover. You could work across a variety of Retford primary schools, giving you the opportunity to experience different settings and teaching environments.
