Job summary

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking experienced Primary Cover Teachers to work across Gloucester primary schools, providing day-to-day and short-term cover in EYFS to KS2. Confidently manage a classroom, follow lesson plans, and ensure pupil engagement and discipline. QTS or teaching qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply, with safeguarding commitment. Reliable daily pay and a dedicated consultant support you throughout placements.

Responsibilities

• Keep pupils engaged and focused throughout lessons.
• Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs where required.
• Work effectively with teachers and school staff to maintain continuity of learning.

Job Title: Primary Cover Teacher

Job Type: Day to Day Supply, Sick cover

Pay Rate: £100 - £150 per day

Job Overview:

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking experienced and reliable Primary Cover Teachers to work across primary schools in Gloucester. As a Primary Cover Teacher, you will provide day-to-day and short-term classroom cover, including sickness cover and last-minute staff absence. You will be expected to confidently manage a classroom, follow existing lesson plans and ensure pupils remain engaged and well behaved. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential. QTS or previous teaching qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confident working independently and taking responsibility for a classroom.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs would be ideal.
• QTS, teaching qualifications or other relevant education experience would be an advantage but are not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
