Qualifications

  • Experience of working as a qualified pharmacy technician.
  • Experience of working with clinicians in primary care.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.

Responsibilities

  • To undertake medicines reconciliation according to protocols.
  • Support the achievement of PCN prescribing targets.
  • Provide advice to GPs on improving prescribing safety.
  • Participate in medication audits.
  • Manage prescribing budgets and liaise with medicines management.

Skills

Relevant theoretical and practical knowledge of Primary Care Networks
Ability to communicate medicines and service-related information
Ability to work independently and effectively
Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
Ability to define, collate, analyse and interpret data

Education

Professional registration with GPhC
BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences
