Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking a registered mental health professional for a bank role focused on delivering mental health assessments and brief interventions in primary care settings. You will work alongside GP practices, supported by multidisciplinary mental health teams, and contribute to improving access to services for referred patients.

The post involves collaboration with service users, carers and communities to raise awareness of mental health and to facilitate pathways into IAPT,

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in mental health (e.g. RMN) with current NMC/HCPC registration
• Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or equivalent is desirable
• Education to degree or Diploma level with relevant courses for primary care mental health
• Evidence of recent professional development and relevant courses (MBT/DBT, etc.)
• Experience in NHS/PCN or outreach work and working in primary care
• Experience with Complex Emotional Needs and multi-cultural settings

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments, formulations and brief interventions in primary care
• Support access to MINT, EIP, and IAPT services where appropriate
• Collaborate with GPs and Primary Care colleagues and raise mental health awareness
• Guide and train PC clinicians to improve skills and capacity
• Support transfer of care back to GPs and coordinate with community partners
