The Clinical Team Leader is a clinical expert who will lead the Primary Care nursing team to achieve a targeted and appropriate service, delivered in accordance with evidence‑based practice and local policies and procedures. The post holder is expected to deliver care in a range of nurse led clinics utilising the Quality Outcome Framework and to further develop services such as long‑term conditions management, nurse led minor ailment clinics and immunisation programmes.
The post holder will demonstrate a professional manner which is tolerant, courteous and calm in the full course of their duties, in relation to dealing with colleagues, visitors and patients. They will be able to effectively deal with all patients in a professional, nonreactive manner and diffuse potentially volatile situations to avoid escalation.
They will be expected to demonstrate a full and proactive commitment to equal opportunities in accordance with local and national policies.
The post holder will continually promote high standards of service within the Primary Care nursing team, effectively manage poor performance and contribute to the development of a culture of professionalism within the team.
The post holder will work closely with the Primary Care Lead and other Healthcare managers to develop and implement an effective Primary Care Strategy.
