Job summary

A leading actuarial firm in London is seeking an individual to join their Commercial Lines Pricing team. This role involves bespoke pricing analysis across various lines, leading the development of pricing tools, and working closely with underwriters to implement strategies for portfolio management. Candidates should be educated to degree level and preferably nearly or newly qualified actuaries with experience in an actuarial role. Strong technical skills in coding languages are essential.

Qualifications

  • Nearly/newly qualified actuary.
  • Experience gained in an actuarial role (ideally commercial lines / London market).
  • Excellent knowledge of actuarial professional guidance.
  • Market, risk and business awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out bespoke pricing and performance analysis across various lines of business.
  • Lead the build of new pricing tools and maintain existing ones.
  • Work with underwriters to define and implement underwriting strategies.
  • Deliver pricing and portfolio management solutions through advanced analytics.

Within the Commercial Lines Pricing team, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple Specialties lines of business including but not limited to D&O, Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions and Cyber

  • Location: London
  • Type: Permanent

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Case Pricing – Carrying out bespoke pricing and performance analysis across Property, Casualty, Energy and Specialties lines of business
  • Pricing tools – Lead the build of new pricing tools and devise a maintenance plan for their current suite of pricing tools, working across various platforms and working closely with underwriters
  • Portfolio management – Working with underwriters to define, analyse and implement underwriting strategies to improve and grow their portfolios
  • Lead the delivery of pricing and portfolio management solutions across multiple portfolios, through advanced analytics, data analysis and modelling
  • Educated to degree level
  • Nearly/newly qualified actuary
  • Experience gained in an actuarial role (ideally commercial lines / London market)
  • Excellent knowledge of actuarial professional guidance
  • Market, risk and business awareness
