Working with people in over 200 countries and territories, we are on the ground in more than 100 countries.

We connect. We inspire.

Role Description/Purpose

Join the British Council as a Pricing Manager and play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful insights that shape strategic decision-making across our English and Exams business. Working within the Pricing, Planning and Performance Team, you will collaborate with colleagues in London and across our global network to support commercial growth, optimise performance, and drive evidence-based decision-making.

In this role, you will collect, analyse, and interpret a wide range of data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. You will develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations that provide stakeholders with clear and actionable insights, helping to inform business planning, pricing decisions, and marketing strategies. By ensuring data accuracy and delivering high-quality analysis, you will enable teams across the organisation to make informed decisions that enhance performance and maximise return on investment.

The successful candidate will work closely with marketing, commercial, finance, and operational stakeholders to understand business needs and translate complex data into meaningful recommendations. You will also support scenario modelling, forecasting, and performance measurement activities, contributing to the development of pricing approaches and marketing initiatives that align with business objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a strategic function within Marketing and Communications, where insight, knowledge, and customer understanding help drive engagement with our products, services, and impact around the world. The role offers the chance to work in a highly collaborative international environment, influencing both global strategies and local execution through data-driven thinking and commercial expertise.

We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded professional with experience in data analysis, pricing, performance measurement, and stakeholder management. You should be comfortable working with large and complex data sets, presenting insights to a variety of audiences, and using data to influence decisions and drive continuous improvement.

If you are passionate about turning data into business value and want to contribute to an organisation with a global impact, we would love to hear from you.

Role Accountabilities

The British Council is seeking a highly analytical and commercially focused Pricing Manager to join the Pricing, Planning and Performance Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven professional who is passionate about transforming complex information into actionable insights that influence commercial performance, marketing effectiveness, and strategic decision-making across our global English and Exams business.

In this role, you will be responsible for analysing marketing performance data and pricing trends to identify opportunities for optimisation and growth. You will create and automate reports, dashboards, and data visualisations that measure the effectiveness of marketing activities and pricing strategies, providing stakeholders with clear and actionable recommendations. Your work will include customer journey analysis, attribution modelling, funnel analysis, scenario modelling, breakeven assessments, and post-implementation reviews to support evidence-based decision-making and maximise return on investment.

You will play a key role in developing and maintaining tools and methodologies that identify pricing opportunities and measure business benefits. The position also involves managing pricing data across the British Council’s portfolio and relevant competitor products, ensuring that information remains accurate, accessible, and up to date across all markets.

Working closely with regional marketing, commercial, and finance teams, you will provide forecasts, performance insights, and strategic recommendations that support business planning and growth objectives. You will communicate complex findings in a clear and compelling manner, using data storytelling and visualisation techniques to help stakeholders understand risks, opportunities, and performance outcomes.

The role requires a strong focus on continuous improvement. You will evaluate the performance of marketing channels, including email marketing and paid digital campaigns, and recommend optimisation strategies to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. In addition, you will contribute to pricing governance and compliance activities, ensuring alignment with organisational standards and helping to assess the impact of pricing decisions on revenue and surplus.

As a trusted advisor, you will build strong relationships with colleagues across marketing, commercial, finance, insights, pricing, and marketing enablement teams, promoting collaboration and integrated ways of working. You will support the delivery of joined-up performance and pricing solutions that drive business success across global and regional operations.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities. You will be comfortable working with large and complex datasets, translating information into practical business recommendations, and influencing decision-making at multiple levels of the organisation. Experience in marketing analytics, commercial analysis, pricing strategy, performance reporting, and data visualisation will be highly advantageous.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a global organisation, helping to shape pricing and marketing strategies that support growth, improve performance, and deliver value for customers and stakeholders worldwide.
