HFG is seeking an experienced Pricing Actuary for a 6-month contract to support a major UK health insurance engagement. You will bring hands-on PMI pricing expertise to pricing models, reviews and structure enhancements, analysing claims trends and inflation to inform client decisions.

The role requires FIA or near qualification, strong UK PMI pricing experience, and proficiency with SQL, R, Python or Excel-based tools. You will work in a client-facing team with senior stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Qualified or nearly qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent).
• Strong, recent pricing experience in UK Private Medical Insurance (PMI).
• Comfort with pricing tools and data (SQL, R, Python, Excel/VBA).
• Client-facing environment with ability to hit the ground running.

My client is looking for an experienced Pricing Actuary for a 6-month contract.

You'll support a major client engagement in the UK health insurance market, bringing hands-on Private Medical Insurance (PMI) pricing expertise to a high-profile project.

The role

• Develop, review and enhance PMI pricing models and rating structures
• Analyse claims experience, medical inflation and utilisation trends
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior client stakeholders
• Work alongside a team of experienced consultants and actuaries

About you

• Qualified or nearly qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent)
• Strong, recent pricing experience in UK Private Medical Insurance, gained at an insurer or a consultancy
• Confident with pricing tools and data (e.g. SQL, R, Python, Excel/VBA, Emblem or Radar)
• Able to hit the ground running and work comfortably in a client-facing environment
• Available to start at short notice
