Job description

We're looking for a curious and commercially minded Pricing & Promotion Analyst to join the Data team at Black Sheep Coffee. You'll play a key role in understanding how pricing and promotions drive performance across our global stores by turning data into decisions that shape our strategy, margins, and customer experience. You'll work closely with members of the Data Team, Marketing team, Finance, and senior stakeholders to analyse the impact of price changes, test promotional performance, and develop insights that help us offer customers great value while driving sustainable growth across markets. A big part of your role will be helping to define and refine our pricing strategy across the UK, US, and GCC, balancing customer perception, competitive positioning, and margin performance. You'll use data to guide how we price for value in different markets and ensure our offering remains consistent, fair, and compelling globally.

What you’ll Do
  • Help define and refine the pricing strategy across the UK, US, and GCC - ensuring each market offers the right value balance for customers while meeting commercial goals.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and promotional strategies to help shape our positioning and maintain a strong value proposition.
  • Work closely with Marketing to evaluate the ROI and commercial impact of brand collaborations and partnerships.
  • Support the development and pricing of promotional campaigns, from early concept to post-campaign review.
  • Continuously evaluate performance, analysing whether pricing changes, promotions, and campaigns met objectives.
  • Translate insights into recommendations to optimise future pricing, promotions, and campaign strategies.
  • Build SQL‑based reports and dashboards that track key pricing and promotion KPIs, ensuring decisions are always backed by accurate data.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical mindset with 2+ years of experience in data or commercial analysis, ideally in retail, hospitality, or FMCG.
  • Proven experience working with pricing or commercial strategy.
  • Proficiency in SQL (comfortable querying, cleaning, and transforming data).
  • Experience with Power BI to visualise and communicate insights.
  • Ability to translate data into stories and recommendations that influence decision‑making.
  • Collaborative working style and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with marketing or loyalty data analysis.
  • Understanding of profitability metrics, elasticity, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Familiarity with Python or statistical testing.
Benefits
  • Annual Discretionary Bonus - Up to 15% of previous year’s earnings.
  • Monthly phone bills reimbursed - up to £50 per month.
  • Free coffee and hot drinks at any of our locations, plus 50% off food items.
  • Access to Wagesteam, offering a variety of high‑street discounts.
  • 5% Interest on savings through Wagestream Build Pot.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - Access to confidential counselling and advice.
  • Wellness App through our EAP.
  • Pension plan through NEST pensions - 3% employer contribution.
  • Free daily breakfast, snacks and commercial coffee machine in the office.
  • Monthly pub drinks, biannual staff socials and a fully stocked drinks fridge.
  • Rapid career progression and development opportunities.
