Job description

Come build the future of entertainment with us. Are you interested in shaping the future of movies and television? Do you want to define the next generation of how and what Amazon customers are watching?

Prime Video is a premium streaming service that offers customers a vast collection of TV shows and movies - all with the ease of finding what they love to watch in one place. We offer customers thousands of popular movies and TV shows from Originals and Exclusive content to exciting live sports events. We also offer our members the opportunity to subscribe to add-on channels which they can cancel at any time and to rent or buy new release movies and TV box sets on the Prime Video Store. Prime Video is a fast‑paced, growth business - available in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The team works in a dynamic environment where innovating on behalf of our customers is at the heart of everything we do. If this sounds exciting to you, please read on. The Prime Video Store team is seeking a passionate, customer obsessed and data‑driven Pricing & Costing Manager based in London to drive program delivery that will shape our pricing, costing & royalties operations and strategy in existing territories and in support of the expansion of Prime Video’s TVOD (Transactional Video on Demand) offering into new international markets.

Key job responsibilities
  • Supporting roll out and scaling of operations to new and existing marketplaces.
  • Shaping and refining pricing, costing and royalties strategy for multiple international marketplaces and content types.
  • Ownership of core pricing, costing and royalty payment processes and relevant escalations, focusing on accuracy, controllership and operational efficiency.
  • Proactive investigation and root cause analysis of trends seen in business metrics, targeted deep dives or marketplace studies.
  • Build strong relationships with the VM, CAM, Finance, BI, and Tech/Product teams to maintain focus on addressing the most critical issues, and using this to inform product and program management that resolves them.
  • Usage and identification of correct data to develop robust, scalable and automated processes to enable greater efficiency and business growth.
  • Identify opportunities for data analyses and share informed insight & recommendations to drive strategic changes or automation/optimization of core processes.
  • Delivery on critical projects to tight/hard deadlines, and comfortable prioritising tasks.
  • Ownership of key pricing, costing and royalties metrics and reporting.
A day in the life

No two days look the same in this role - we are reactive to the needs of our business and our customers, balance our time across the many distinct parts of pricing, costing and royalties, and work hard to optimise our processes to support the business as it grows now and in future. Our time can be spent on data analysis, operations automation and process improvement, tool/feature enhancement or strategic international document-writing.

Our work overlaps with Vendor Manager, Finance, Accounting, Tech, Product, Ops and Support teams, and the wider Prime Video business teams.

About the team

The team is comprised of folks from multiple backgrounds, skillsets and career‑experience, showcasing that there is no 'one-type' of person who can add to our business and succeed in role.

Our environment is entrepreneurial and fast‑paced and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working effectively in a deadline‑driven work environment. It is still firmly Day 1 for the Prime Video business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • - Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • - Experience in program or project management
  • - Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
