Job summary

OAK Global is seeking a Pricing Actuary in London to support pricing and actuarial functions, with exposure to underwriting, capital and strategy. The role offers opportunities to influence pricing tools, develop models and contribute to the OCEAN platform development.

You will grow technically and commercially, with mentoring and development support as you progress through exams and broader responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Early‑career actuarial or pricing experience.
• Excellent analytical skills with a risk‑focused mindset.
• Curiosity and attention to detail, with a desire to understand the "why" as well as the "how".
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑actuarial stakeholders.
• Interest in technology, modelling, and data‑driven decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Pricing & underwriting support: price risks with underwriters and document pricing assumptions.
• Model development: build, maintain and improve class pricing models and document them.
• Planning, capital & portfolio insight: assist with historical analyses and capital inputs.
• Reserving & finance support: provide analysis for reserving and financial reporting cycles.
• Retrocession & risk transfer: support analysis of retrocession structures and ROE impact.
• OCEAN platform development: contribute ideas and feedback to OCEAN improvements.
• Strategic projects: analyze new classes, ventures or opportunities and support profitability assessments.
