We are seeking a technically skilled and client-focused Presales Solutions Architect to drive innovative data solutions across the EMEA region. This role involves partnering with sales teams and clients to design, present, and implement enterprise-level data architectures, leveraging cutting‑edge technologies. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of data lakes, data virtualization, and analytics, and will act as a trusted advisor to technical and business stakeholders. The position requires someone who thrives in fast‑paced, complex environments, can manage multiple priorities across geographies, and has excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences. Travel across the region will be required to engage with key clients and prospects.

Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with sales teams and clients to present solutions, address technical questions, and support the sales process.
  • Design and architect end-to-end data solutions, including data virtualization, query optimization, and unified data access.
  • Lead proof‑of‑concept (POC) implementations, ensuring performance, scalability, and security requirements are met.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface with clients, providing expert guidance and recommendations on data strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, driving adoption of new features and expanding solution usage.
  • Work cross‑functionally with engineering and product teams to resolve critical technical challenges and optimise solutions.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in presales or solutions architecture, preferably in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of databases, including MPP analytic databases and data warehousing concepts.
  • Deep understanding of data architecture principles, including data lakes, data virtualization, and data mesh.
  • Proficiency with Linux environments and experience installing, debugging, and integrating applications.
  • Expertise in SQL, data modelling, query optimisation, and big data frameworks (Kubernetes, Spark, Hadoop, Hive).
  • Familiarity with data storage technologies such as HDFS, S3, Azure Data Lake, and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion, transformation, and data visualisation tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to travel at least 30% within the EMEA region.
