Great things happen when teams come together at Yarnfield Park venues, operated by Compass Group UK&I. We are recruiting a Prep Chef on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week) to join a passionate kitchen team delivering excellent food experiences in a market-leading food service environment.

The successful candidate will prep fresh items, follow recipes, manage portions, maintain safety standards, and liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service periods.

Qualifications

• Competent in the English language, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• To prepare fresh food items for use in dishes.
• To prepare dishes for salad bar and desserts.
• To follow recipes to company standard to ensure the allergen report is correct.
• To monitor portion size and wastage.
• To work in a safe manner to ensure safety of yourself and others.
• To communicate effectively with the front of house team to ensure successful service periods.
• To adhere to all training/guidelines given for health & safety, food handling, COSHH, uniform standards, PPE, manual handling and fire regulations.
• To ensure all displays and counters comply with health and hygiene requirements including food information regulations.
• To complete and update all food safety and health & safety paperwork correctly during your shift.
• To be responsible for kitchen cleanliness and report safety hazards.
• To demonstrate a can-do attitude towards customer requests and strive to exceed expectations.
• To complete compulsory training as requested by a senior team member.
• To follow profit protection procedures and report issues to line manager.
• To ensure all team members are treated with respect.
• To be flexible and able to work in other units within distance if required.
• To self-supervise when working alone and uphold safety guidelines.

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Prep Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Levy on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.

Day time hours only.

As a Prep Chef, you will be working in a passionate and hard-working team to create an outstanding culinary experience for our customers in the market-leading food service company in the UK.

Key Accountabilities

• To prepare fresh food items for use in dishes
• To prepare dishes for salad bar and desserts
• To follow recipes to company standard to ensure the allergen report is correct
• To monitor portion size and wastage
• To work in a safe manner to ensure safety of yourself and others
• To communicate effectively with the front of house team to ensure successful service periods
• To adhere to all training / guidelines given for the following policies and procedures: health & safety, food handling, COSHH, uniform standards, personal protective equipment, manual handling and fire regulations
• To ensure all displays and counters comply with company and statutory health and hygiene requirements including food information regulations
• To complete and update all food safety and health & safety paperwork correctly during your shift to ensure full compliance
• To be responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen during and at the end of your shift, ensuring Health and Safety hazards, issues, near misses and accidents are reported to a senior member of the team at the earliest opportunity
• To demonstrate a can-do attitude towards individual customer requests and strive to exceed customer expectations
• To complete all compulsory training as requested by a senior member of the team
• To follow all company and unit profit protection procedures, reporting any issues to your line manager
• To ensure all team members are treated with respect
• To be flexible and comply with any reasonable requests made by your line Manager including if necessary, working within other units within reasonable distance
• To be able to self-supervise when working alone and to ensure all safety guidelines are upheld
