Job summary

The Grammar School at Leeds (GSAL) is seeking a skilled Chef to join our catering team. You will prepare fresh daily salads and nutritious meals, ensuring high standards and compliance with allergen and safety requirements.

You will support the Head Chef and contribute to efficient kitchen operation. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 706/1/2 (or equivalent) in food preparation and cooking, plus Level 3 Food Hygiene.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 706/1/2 (or equivalent) qualifications in food preparation and cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present fresh daily salad bar and nutritious meals to high standards.
• Maintain allergen requirements and recipes; manage food safety and hygiene standards.
• Contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen in a busy school catering environment.
