Premises Manager – Independent School

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Contract: Permanent, full-time (part-time considered)

Hours: 9am – 6pm, 40 hours per week

Start date: As soon as possible

Loyal Blue Recruitment are working exclusively with a respected independent preparatory school in Windsor to recruit an experienced and reliable Premises Manager.

This is a key role within the school’s operations team, responsible for ensuring the site is safe, secure, and well maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.

About the role

The Premises Manager will take day-to-day responsibility for managing the school site, leading a small team, and maintaining high standards across all buildings and grounds.

The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team to make sure the site meets all health, safety, and compliance requirements.

Main responsibilities
  • Managing the cleaning and site teams to ensure a safe, clean, and well-presented environment
  • Overseeing maintenance, repairs, and service contracts
  • Carrying out regular site checks, health and safety inspections, and risk assessments
  • Coordinating contractors and ensuring all works meet school standards and regulations
  • Maintaining security of the site, including opening and locking up
  • Supporting with driving duties and school events as needed

This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility, good communication, and a willingness to work as part of a small, committed team.

Person specification

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Premises Manager or site professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys practical work.

Essential requirements
