Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Design Engineer to support future programmes within the Engineering - Munitions team at Glascoed. You will prepare models, drawings, and Bills of Materials for customised equipment, under supervision.

The role requires familiarity with BS 8888, ISO 9001, GD&T and fabrication processes, with a 12-month duration and a hybrid pattern: 3–4 days onsite weekly. Security clearance BPSS & SC is required prior to start.

Qualifications

• Previous Drawing Office experience.
• Proficient with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Experience designing precision equipment, fixtures, jigs and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Produce engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Create models and drawings for customised equipment.
• Apply BS 8888, ISO 9001, materials and GD&T requirements.
• Liaise with Product, Process and Manufacturing Engineers.
• Support one-off and batch manufacturing processes.
• Ensure designs meet internal engineering and sign-off requirements.
