The role focuses on setting, operating, and maintaining spring coiling and wire forming machinery, delivering parts to exact tolerances within a 32-hour week schedule.

You will read engineering drawings, select tooling, perform first-off inspections with micrometers, and troubleshoot faults to minimise scrap.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating spring coiling and wire forming equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools.
• Familiarity with 5S and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate spring coiling, wire forming, and finishing machinery according to specs.
• Select, install, and align tooling, cams, feeds, and guides for production runs.
• Conduct first-off inspections using micrometers, verniers, shadowgraphs, and load testers.
• Troubleshoot process faults and adjust settings to maintain quality.
• Inspect raw wire stock and materials; maintain cleanliness and safety.
