Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Sheet Metal Worker in Ferndown, Dorset. The role involves manufacturing and assembling precision sheet metal components, reading drawings, and operating relevant machinery in a modern production environment.

The position is permanent, full-time, with a 39-hour week, Monday-Thursday 7:30-16:45 and Friday 7:30-12:30. Overtime paid at 1.5x. Excellent opportunity to develop your career in a respected engineering company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker in engineering/manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using sheet metal machinery and hand tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Good problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and flexible attitude towards work.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricate sheet metal components from engineering drawings.
• Cut, fold, form and assemble sheet metal parts.
• Operate sheet metal machinery and hand tools.
• Drill, tap, countersink and perform finishing operations as required.
• Check components against drawings and quality standards.
• Work with materials including stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet deadlines.
