Syntech Recruitment Ltd in Ash Vale is seeking a hands-on Inspection Quality Engineer to join a quality-driven team. The role focuses on First Article Inspection, in-process inspection, and strict adherence to the QMS to ensure parts meet engineering standards.

The successful candidate will read complex drawings, use traditional inspection tools, and maintain robust quality records, collaborating with machining and assembly to drive continuous improvements on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on inspection background in manufacturing/engineering.
• Proven experience in QA or inspection role.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Knowledge of standard inspection equipment, quality systems and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with FAI and in-process inspection procedures.
• Strong computer literacy and document control skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process inspection.
• Work with QMS to maintain high-quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to verify component compliance.
• Use traditional inspection equipment to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Manage document control and complete certificates and inspection reports.
• Collaborate with machining and assembly teams to address quality issues.
• Maintain quality records and support continuous improvement.
• Communicate across departments to ensure a cohesive quality approach.
