Job summary

MIG/TIG Welder required for a busy manufacturing environment in Sittingbourne, Kent. The role focuses on precision TIG welding of thin gauge materials, with additional MIG welding and light fabrication work.

You'll join a day shift production team, reading and interpreting engineering drawings and welding symbols, and conducting self-inspections to ensure quality while meeting production targets. Minimum 5 years' MIG and TIG welding experience is essential, along with the ability to work safely

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' MIG and TIG welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out MIG and TIG welding on thin gauge materials ranging from 0.9mm to 10mm.
  • Weld and fabricate components using mild steel and stainless steel materials.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols accurately.
  • Conduct self-inspection and quality checks on completed work.
  • Communicate production progress and any issues with the Welding Team Leader.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
  • Support wider production activities where required.
  • Work in accordance with health and safety procedures and quality standards.
