Job summary

EMBS Engineering is recruiting for a Press / Forging Operator based in Leicester on a permanent basis. The role offers a competitive hourly rate circa £13.50–£14.00 plus shift allowance and double-day hours (38 per week).

Candidates must be UK residents with DBS checks; visa sponsorship is not available. You will operate hot forging presses, inspect parts, and interpret engineering drawings across small to large batch sizes.

Qualifications

• Experience in machining role.
• Able to set & operate machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Work with small to large batch sizes.
• Knowledge of forging & press machines.
• Self-inspection of parts using manual measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a hot forging press to produce precision components.
• Self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure specifications.
• Machining large batch sizes of small to medium parts.
