Job summary

Danesmoor Group is seeking a CNC Operator for their Newton Aycliffe facility. The role involves operating flatbed milling CNC machines to produce bespoke stone products for Worksurfaces, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will read engineering drawings, monitor processes, and support daily KPI capture using Excel. The position is full-time with shift patterns as listed, and emphasizes housekeeping and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Keen eye for dimensional quality and visual checks.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient with Excel for KPI capture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CNC machinery set up to ensure safe, ready loading.
• Verify preloaded programmes in CAM simulations and adjust as needed.
• Load materials onto machines using TVL lifter and manual handling.
• Cut, grind, or drill materials and adjust wear offsets for accuracy.
• Monitor CNC operation and report machining/mechanical issues.
• Follow company operating standards and safety regulations.
• Inspect machines daily and report issues via PPM checks.
• Perform pre- and post-process visual and dimensional checks on products.
• Flag non-conforming products for SMR/remake with supervision.
