Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a skilled Fabricator / Fitter to join our Gloucester workshop. You will construct, fit out, and finish bespoke catering trailers, focusing on precision fitting, panel work, joinery, and finishing. There is no requirement for electrical or plumbing skills; transferable experience in coach building or caravan construction is welcome.

The role reports to the Production Manager / Workshop Supervisor and offers day shift hours with paid overtime where applicable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a relevant trade such as coach building or joinery.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Able to lift materials and work in varied positions.

Responsibilities

• Construct and assemble catering trailer bodies using aluminium, stainless steel, and composite panels.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders to deliver accurate builds.
• Fabricate and fit internal and external framework, ensuring structural integrity.
• Install and secure flooring, wall panels, and roof structures to manufacturer and safety standards.
• Install doors, hatches, and serving counters with precision fitting.
• Fit internal equipment mounting points and support structures.
• Apply sealants, trim, and finishing materials to achieve water-tight results.
• Install external cladding, signage mounting points, and aesthetic features.
• Construct and install internal joinery, counters, shelving, and storage solutions.
