Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Calibration Technician to join our team in the Newcastle area. The role focuses on performing instrument calibrations, maintaining GMP/FDA compliant documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a pharmaceutical environment.

You will execute scheduled work, troubleshoot instrumentation, and ensure calibration records are accurate and up to date while coordinating with site operations and training requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram)
• Knowledge of calibration systems and automation/controls
• Strong literacy in Windows-based tools (Microsoft Office) and related applications
• Excellent communication, documentation and interpersonal skills; strong organisation and time management

Responsibilities

• Execute calibrations per site schedule and procedures.
• Carry out designed and unscheduled work orders as required by the site schedule.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation problems under site supervision.
• Perform risk assessments of calibration steps and keep them valid.
• Record calibration certificates in the site CCCMS as directed.
• Maintain documentation in GMP/FDA compliant systems.
• Collaborate with operations teams to support calibration activities.
• Carry out calibrations safely and in a timely manner.
• Perform corrective/reactive maintenance on instrumentation as requested.
• Support continuous improvement and quality/customer service initiatives.
• Report work in accordance with site reporting tools.
• Attend required site trainings and update PM schedules.
• Keep site systems database up to date.
• Prioritise workload to meet deadlines and improve efficiency
