Job summary

Rubicon People Partnership in Cambridge is hiring an Assembler for a precision aerospace workshop. You’ll cut, bond and shape composite materials to tight tolerances and support a production line with a hands-on, detail‑driven approach.

Day shifts Mon-Fri, with a 1pm finish on Fridays; there is structured training, enhanced holiday allowance, free parking, and overtime paid at x1.5. Immediate start for candidates with carpentry or joinery background.

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in trades or college course.
• Ability to measure to millimetre tolerances.
• Experience with wood, composites, or similar materials is an advantage.
• Background as a carpenter or bench joiner is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, bonding and shaping composite materials with precision.
• Measuring and working accurately to millimetre tolerances.
• Using hand tools including scissors and scalpel blades.
• Lifting and manoeuvring heavy boards into the press area and ovens.
• Working closely with colleagues to meet production targets.
• Following established processes to ensure consistently high-quality output.
