Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Deputy Lead Manager for Pre-Treatment to lead and support a skilled pre-treatment team handling CT, MRI, treatment preparation and radiotherapy bookings, ensuring patients begin their journey with confidence.

You will provide managerial oversight, develop staff, and collaborate with clinicians, radiographers and medical physics staff, while guiding service development and strategic workforce plans.

Qualifications

• Qualified Radiographer with state registration and postgraduate development.
• Experience leading radiography teams and staff development.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and progression.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support and development to a skilled pre-treatment team.
• Act as Technical Lead, guiding complex techniques and patient solutions.
• Participate in managerial duties and represent the department externally.
• Lead staff development, workforce planning, culture and inclusion initiatives.
• Contribute to extended hours and flexible bank holiday coverage as needed.
