Job description

We are delighted to be recruiting an enthusiastic, confident, and highly motivated Room Leader to join our vibrant Preschool team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early years practitioner who is ready to take on a leadership role and help shape the learning journey of our children during one of the most important stages of their development.

As our Room Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Preschool room, ensuring that the environment is welcoming, stimulating, and supportive for every child. You will lead by example, guiding staff in planning and delivering high-quality activities, ensuring that the EYFS framework is followed consistently, and promoting a culture of curiosity, creativity, and emotional security.

The role of Room Leader involves building strong relationships with families, supporting children’s individual needs, and fostering a positive team environment. You will be a key point of contact for both parents and practitioners, using your knowledge and expertise to provide guidance, reassurance, and continuity. As Room Leader, you will also play an important role in staff development, mentoring colleagues, modelling best practice, and helping maintain a warm, professional, and collaborative atmosphere.

This is a full‑time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, offering stability and work‑life balance within a supportive and friendly nursery setting. We are seeking a Level 3 (or higher) qualified practitioner with strong knowledge of early years practice, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping children thrive.

In return, we offer a competitive starting salary from £29,000, along with opportunities for professional development and growth within the nursery. As our Room Leader, you will be valued for your ideas, your dedication, and your commitment to delivering outstanding care and education every day.

If you are an inspiring early years professional ready to take the next step in your career and make a meaningful impact as our Preschool Room Leader, we would love to hear from you.
