A leading IT software services company is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer to support enterprise sales activities across the UK and EMEA. This role involves driving customer acquisition through the technical sales cycle, working closely with IT and Finance stakeholders on cloud cost management. The ideal candidate will have B2B SaaS pre-sales experience and a deep understanding of IT financial management. Competitive salary is up to £100,000 with a hybrid working model.

This is a fantastic Pre‑Sales Solution Engineer opportunity to work with a leading IT software services organisation, supporting enterprise sales activities, driving revenue growth, and owning technical sales cycles across the UK and EMEA.
As a Pre‑Sales Solution Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth by leading the end‑to‑end technical sales cycle, including discovery, solution design, tailored demonstrations, RFPs, and Proof of Value engagement. You’ll work closely with IT and Finance stakeholders to align solutions with business needs in IT cost transparency, budgeting, forecasting, and cloud cost management (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex technical and financial concepts into clear business outcomes.
We require experience of B2B SaaS pre‑sales or solution engineering, strong communication and C‑level engagement skills, and familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC. Understanding of FinOps and/or IT Financial Management is essential. TBM or FinOps certification is advantageous.
Prior experience in a similar Pre‑Sales or Solution Engineering role is essential. Must be able to commute to Central London 1–2 days per week. Must have experience in IT Finance, Cloud Cost Management, and FinOps.
