We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant / Technical Bid Writer to join a leading digital transformation provider, supporting major programmes across the public sector, Defence, and public health. This is a remote-first opportunity (UK-wide), with occasional travel as required.

You’ll play a critical role in developing high-quality, persuasive bid submissions that showcase our expertise and value proposition. Working closely with sales, technical, and delivery teams, you’ll shape compelling responses to complex opportunities, helping us stand out in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce clear, client-focused bid responses that communicate value across the public sector, Defence, and health.
• Collaborate with technical experts and account teams to translate complex information into engaging content.
• Maintain a library of reusable bid content, case studies, and templates.
• Support bid teams in shaping win strategies, themes, and value propositions.
• Ensure submissions meet brand, tone of voice, and quality standards.
• Conduct research to align proposals with industry trends, client needs, and government priorities.
• Coordinate contributions across stakeholders to deliver bids on time and to the highest standard.
• Contribute to marketing materials such as capability statements and thought leadership pieces.

Essential Requirements

• Strong experience in bid writing or technical writing within the public sector, Defence, or regulated industries.
• Ability to distil complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive content.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality submissions under tight deadlines.
• Collaborative, with experience working across sales, technical, and marketing teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Based in the UK - no visa sponsorship available.

Desirable

• Familiarity with structured bid frameworks and methodologies.
• Knowledge of Defence, Central Government, and Public Health priorities.
• Experience writing for digital services disciplines such as cloud, software engineering, or data/AI.
• Background in a technical or project delivery role.
• Marketing experience (e.g. capability statements, brochures, content).
