A healthcare organization in Tees Valley offers a two-year Pharmacy Technician training programme funded by the government. Candidates will develop skills in dispensing medicines, checking prescriptions, and undertaking ward duties. Applicants need to have at least 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 and be ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years before starting. A fantastic opportunity has arisen at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to undertake a two-year training programme to develop the skills and knowledge to become a Pharmacy Technician. This government‑funded apprenticeship programme is available to those ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years before starting, and is not open to holders of a pharmacy degree.
The two‑year Programme is delivered as a Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Level 3 apprenticeship, comprising on‑the‑job training and one day per week of teaching by an approved educational provider. Work toward the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians.
As a minimum you should have passed 4 GCSE's at Grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent qualification) in the following subject areas:
