A large healthcare organization is seeking enthusiastic individuals for a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician role. This 2-year apprenticeship involves training to become a registered Pharmacy Technician, with responsibilities including dispensing prescriptions and maintaining professional standards. This is a training post to acquire the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
The post is a 2‑year, fixed‑term contract for a Pre‑Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship, commencing in February 2026, subject to satisfactory completion of pre‑employment checks in line with GPhC, NHS and Apprenticeship requirements.

The 2‑year training position will involve four days a week at Royal Stoke/County Hospitals, gaining necessary vocational experience to complete the compulsory competencies for the BTEC Level 3 Diploma. One day a week will be spent at Stoke College to cover the knowledge elements of the diploma.
Full educational support is provided, but candidates must be able to quickly learn new IT systems and technology to provide safe and effective care.
