Job summary

Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Pre-Op Assessment role on a bank basis in Glasgow. You will conduct pre-operative assessments, take medical histories, assess health status and social circumstances, and support the patient through their care pathway.

The role emphasises empathetic, patient-centered care in a consultant-led environment. The position is ad-hoc and includes evening and weekend work, with a pay rate up to £25 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of history taking and health assessment.
• Ability to assess patients holistically including social and post-operative needs.
• Team player with commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative assessments of patients undergoing various operations.
• First point of contact providing comfort and reassurance to patients.
