We are looking for a Pre‑Construction Manager to join a respected, family‑owned Chartered Building Company with strong values, operating in education, local authority and public sector frameworks. The business is moving into larger value schemes (£15‑20m) and needs a dedicated Pre‑Construction Manager to lead tender programming, mobilisation planning and early stage project setup. You will be key to ensuring seamless transition into live delivery and building a sustainable pipeline for the business. This is a role for someone seeking long‑term employment in a supportive and loyal team environment.
As Pre‑Construction Manager you will :
Lead pre‑construction planning : develop tender programmes, early milestones, resource alignment, risk scheduling.
Work with estimating and commercial teams to prepare realistic build‑programmes for framework bids (DfE, NWCH etc).
Attend bid meetings, provide input to programme strategy and present schedule proposals to senior leadership.
Support mobilisation hand‑over into site teams and monitor early‑phase schedule compliance.
Collaborate with operations, project management and supply chain to ensure planning is embedded from day‑one.
Drive process improvement in the pre‑construction phase and help build a pipeline of major frameworks.
