Job description

The Pre-Construction Manager

This opportunity exists with a Tier 1 contractor and will involve overseeing all activities during the pre-construction and ECI phases on a vast range of civil engineering water infrastructure projects. Specifically including the planning, design coordination, estimating, budgeting, procurement strategy, scheduling, and risk assessment. The role acts as a conduit collaborating between client, design and construction teams to ensure efficient project delivery from concept to construction commencement.

Core Pre Construction Manager responsibilities

• Managing feasibility reviews across multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborating with clients to value engineering schemes
• Overseeing cost control, procurement strategy and risk management
• Working closely to ascertain cost estimates, procurement plans, bid evaluations and preliminary schedules
• Developing procurement strategies and preliminary project schedules to incorporate construction milestones

In return

Pre Construction Manager basic salary between 80 - 90K plus car allowance, 26 days holiday and comprehensive flexible benefits package with pension contribution of up to 8%. The opportunity will be based in Exeter or Bristol with flexible working available.

You will need prior experience in civil engineering pre-construction, estimating or project management within infrastructure. Good practical experience of excel and scheduling software will also be of interest.
