Preconstruction Manager (Contract) – Inside IR35 Basingstoke Negotiable Day Rate

We’re currently seeking three experienced Preconstruction Managers to join a leading Building Solutions South team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of construction and refurbishment projects across the region.

Location: Basingstoke
Day Rate: Negotiable (Inside IR35)
Hours: 40 per week
Contract: Ongoing

The Role

As a Preconstruction Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering preconstruction services from tender stage through to handover. You’ll work closely with estimating, commercial, planning, and design teams, ensuring all preconstruction activities are effectively coordinated and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all preconstruction activities from tender issue through to project handover
  • Collaborate with internal teams across estimating, commercial, planning, and design disciplines
  • Engage confidently with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders to build lasting relationships
  • Identify and mitigate project risks during the preconstruction phase
  • Support bid strategy, tender submissions, and proposal development
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven preconstruction management experience on projects up to £20m
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skillsA full UK driving licence and relevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or professional membership)
