Job description
Job Description

Senior Pre-Construction Director | UK Logistics, Data Centres & Life Sciences | North West London | £120,000 + | Permanent

Join an ambitious, high-growth technical contractor in a Senior Pre-Construction Director role.

This is a role for somebody willing to be the face of pre‑construction for a business specialising in high complexity builds – namely, purpose‑built logistics hubs, mission‑critical data‑centres and cutting edge life‑sciences facilities. These are not just routine projects – they are the kind of schemes demanding vision, speed, precision and an appetite for winning.

Our client is a UK based technical construction partner operating out of North West London, with a reputation of delivering excellence as standard. They are actively in pursuit of a Senior Leader to own the UK Pre‑Construction portfolio in logistics, data centres and life sciences, and take it to the next level.

What you’ll bring to the table
  • You are a work‑winning pre‑construction leader: you understand how to engage senior clients, anticipate their needs, align early design and cost strategy, build the winning bid and then transition smoothly into delivery.
  • You have hands‑on experience across logistics, data centre and/or life‑science sectors (or highly relevant adjacent sectors) and you understand what differentiates a successful, high‑velocity commercial build from the rest.
  • You are comfortable being client‑facing: presenting to the C‑suite, building relationships, influencing and negotiating at pace.
  • You have solid leadership of the estimating function and associated teams in your remit – ensuring that cost planning, risk, tendering, procurement and design coordination all roll up into a winning bid.
  • You are based (or prepared to be based) in and around North West London (office based with travel as needed for UK projects).
Why this role is different
  • You will operate at a senior level with significant autonomy and influence – owning a UK portfolio of critical sectors where the market is strong and the opportunity is clear.
  • The company is scaling with confidence and they are investing in growth.
  • You will sit at the heart of both bid‑winning and strategic positioning – this isn’t just a “delivery” role, it’s a proper leadership role.
  • The reward will match the responsibility: while the exact salary bracket isn’t specified, this client is prepared to pay what is needed to secure the right person.
In short

This is a chance to take the lead in shaping and winning the next wave of major UK logistics, data centre and life‑science projects for a business that is pushing boundaries in technical construction.

If you thrive on winning work, building teams, talking to senior clients and shaping strategy – this could be your next defining move.
